How to find people to play Warzone with

In-game fill

Press Play with Fill on and the game gives you three strangers. It’s instant and it’s the worst of the options for anything beyond one match: no mic check, no language, no idea whether they’re warming up or tilted, and they leave the moment the first fight goes badly.

Discord LFG servers

The big Warzone Discords have LFG channels where you post what you’re looking for and wait. The problem is scale: a channel with four hundred people posting is a wall of “LFG quads EU mic” from people who may have logged off an hour ago, and your own post sinks under the next twenty. When someone does reply, you swap gamer tags by typing them out, send a cross-platform invite that fails once, and lose one of the four before the lobby loads.

Reddit and group chats

The recruiting threads work for finding a clan more than a squad for tonight. A group chat with mates works until it’s the chat where a game night gets planned every week and happens once a month.

An app that does the matching

Lobbyit starts from what an actual quad needs. You set your games, modes, rank, platform, servers, language and roughly when you’re free. Then there are two ways in.

Instant Fill. Pick Warzone and BR Quads and join the queue. The app finds players on the same mode, platform and server, who speak your language, at a similar level. A radar counts them in; you can widen to any platform without losing your place. The moment the fourth seat fills, a group chat opens with everyone in it, voice ready, and each person’s gamer tag for Warzone one tap from copying.

Pick them yourself. Or look at who’s online now, 12 players on Europe say, each with their rank, platform and language on the row, and tap Invite. Tap a player first and you see their record: the share of past teammates who’d play with them again, what those teammates said, a Warzone rank other players have confirmed, and the evenings they usually play.

Keeping the good ones

A good quad is worth more than a good match. After a few games, Lobbyit’s People you know lists players who play when you play, use your servers, or marked that they’d play with you again. Post a weekly night in the squad chat with a set time and the game’s seat count, and everyone gets a reminder 15 minutes before. The host drops the match code in the chat; saying Can’t one week doesn’t drop you from the squad.

What you don’t have to do

Post anywhere, message anyone first, read a friend code aloud, or put your face on a profile. Everyone starts with a badge, and what people see is how you play. Lobbyit is on iPhone and Android.
